Project: Florence Exchange Studio, 2014

This project was part of an exchange program with a university in Florence where Auckland University students were partnered with Italian students to produce a scheme for Samson Development on one of their many sites around Auckland, taking into consideration the new city planning restrictions.

 

We proposed a combined residential and commercial extension to an existing character building on Mount Eden Road.  The result is a playful but pragmatic approach to mixed-use architecture, one that would set a precedent for higher density living and working on the fringe of the city centre.
